This foundation is best suited for normal and combination skin. - If you have dry skin, it is recommended to prep your skin with a hydrating moisturizer and then follow with Always an Optimist Primer (sold separately) for best results. - If you have oily skin, it is recommended to use our Always an Optimist Pore Diffusing Primer (sold separately) and/or set your foundation with a powder. Shake well before each use to ensure the foundation pigments are evenly dispersed throughout. Because of its innovative, serum-like formula, pressing the foundation into your skin with fingertips is encouraged but feel free to use the Liquid Touch Foundation Brush or a damp sponge. - Start with the smallest amount needed—it’s recommended to use just 1 dot of foundation for the entire face. Use fingertips to blend in circular or tapping motions to press formula into the skin; the warmth of your fingertips will allow the pigments to melt into your skin for the best results. - If you are using a brush or sponge, blend or stipple the foundation until it looks and feels like skin. - For more coverage, add another dot and build as desired. This foundation has concentrated pigments so less is more—add a second layer only where needed.
