This is an AWM-500 Series of full-metal models of G-Shock's first analog-digital watches. Based on the AW-500 model that was released in 1989—the first-generation analog-digital combination G-Shock watch—these models use hardy stainless steel on their bezels and bands. The band was developed specifically for the AWM-500 and manages to recreate the smooth shape of the AW-500 by using a curved design that melds into the case. The back of the watch features Screw Lock Back. A mirror and hairline finish has been applied to each surface of the bezel, and the use of 3D indices and vapor deposition treatment on the dial enhances the feel of the watch. The time is automatically corrected within Multi-Band 6 areas. Additionally, Tough Solar technology provides a stable source of power and the watch is packed with functional features such as high-luminance Full Auto LED illumination and World Time.
